Test Optional Admission Policy

We understand there is more to the admissions process than how you perform on a test one day of the year.

While some students feel their ACT or SAT scores accurately reflect their academic potential, you may not. Grades, strength of curriculum, the ability to effectively communicate with the written word, and character have always been the most important elements of our holistic admission review process. Lake Erie College does not believe that a standardized test score defines who you are academically. Allowing you to decide whether or not to submit your test scores is one way of demonstrating our commitment to providing you an exceptional, personalized educational experience.

More than 850 colleges and universities nationwide have adopted test-optional policies to date, including more than 20% of the top national liberal arts colleges (US News and World Report). Please contact us with any questions regarding the test-optional admission process at 1.855.GO.STORM, or admission@517b2b.com.

If you elect to apply using the Common Application, FastApp, or our application, you must indicate your intention to be considered as a test-optional applicant to admission@517b2b.com.
